Ungrafted Japanese mountain maple, Acer palmatum, originally grown from seed approx 30 years. This is quite a large tree; height is 60cm from soil and spread is 60cm. The trunk is 8cm diameter with 20cm circumference, nebari spreading more than 12cm.
The photograph in leaf is very recent, but I have included recent winter image and shot from several years to show autumn colour.
There are some well-healed scars on the lower trunk and depending on viewing angle, a very slight inverse taper as a result of these. The top has good ramification.
Plastic pot 38x27x11cm
I would prefer collection but will post if necessary.
