Once again it was the time of year for our Taunton & Somerset Bonsai show. Held at the Willowbrook Garden Centre, this annual event is one that members and the general public very much look forward to.
The weather could not have been better. It was sunny, and some people were even seen in lightweight clothing and shorts! Numbers were exceptionally high with simply hundreds of people making the journey to Willowbrook to enjoy the local plants, and in particular the thrill of a two day Bonsai event.
Such is the popularity of the Taunton & Somerset show, many visitors had come from far off corners of Somerset & Devon to be with us. They were not to be disappointed either. The standard of exhibits at this 2012 event, was astonishigly high; and much praise was to be heard from people kindly visiting the marquee.
There was much going on this year; Howard the club chairman, along with other members carried out a variety of demonstrations. Andy (Howard’s better half 🙂 ) created some amazing Kusamono this year, and again much praise from visitors could be heard!
It would not be fair to name all the members that freely gave up time and enthusiasm to help out at this years event. Thanks must go therefore to everyone involved, and as a club we look forward to 2013 which is a date not to be missed!
Howard our club chairman can be seen passing on some of his skills during a demonstration.
